Body contouring has an effect on the balance and form of the body as a whole. Many patients have told me after breast surgery that their tummy looks different - saggier or larger - in comparison to their shapely breasts. The opposite is also true. Patients have told me following tummy tuck or liposuction that they wish their breasts were fuller or more shapely.

Frequently combining more than one surgery is the optimal means of ensuring body balance and symmetry. Performing two contouring procedures has several advantages to the patient. There is only one surgery, only one anesthetic, and only one recovery time. An additional benefit to the patient is the cost savings of one operation instead of two.
Any of the following procedures can be combined and performed in one operation. By utilizing several techniques and contouring the body as a whole, you can achieve more satisfying/optimal results and give a woman the figure she desires.

The ideal candidate for liposuction is a person who is close to their ideal body weight, who exercises, and has a healthy diet but cannot get rid of isolated areas of fat. Liposuction can be performed on several areas at one time to ensure optimal body contours. Liposuction can be combined with breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, or tummy tuck.

Women with large breasts are often unable to engage in the types of vigorous exercise that leads to stable body weight, such as running or aerobics. This patient was bothered by her large breasts and the tummy fat that she had had since her teen years. A combination of breast reduction and liposuction has given her a shapely new figure. Body contour surgery has enabled her to maintain an exercise routine and ideal body weight.

Tummy Tuck or Abdominoplasty is a procedure to remove excess skin and fat, tighten the muscles, and remove stretch marks from the abdomen. Women who have had multiple pregnancies are frequently good candidates for this operation. In other instances, substantial weight loss may cause the abdominal skin to become flacid. Significant stretch marks in the abdominal skin are a telltale sign that the skin has stretched beyond it's capacity to retract. In these cases, liposuction alone will not treat the problem. The excess skin and fat must be surgically removed.

This 48-year-old women patient was bothered by fullness and stretch marks in her tummy. She also had a tendency to accumulate fat in her hips. A combination of tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and liposuction of her hips and thighs has restored her girlish figure. In planning her surgery, it was important for her to bring her bathing suit to clinic to plan her incisions. Even in a revealing bikini, her tummy tuck incision is hidden beautifully.

Breast enlargement or breast augmentation is a procedure to make breasts larger, fuller, and in some cases more youthful-looking. There are several approaches to breast augmentation, as well as several styles of implants. The best approach for you is made upon a complete evaluation of several factors including your unique anatomy, how much existing breast tissue you have, your nipple position, and the presence or absence of sag to your breasts. In all cases, my goal is to work with you to find the incision type and implant style that gives you the most natural results.

The patient is a 34 year old woman who was interested in Breast Augmentation.  She was also bothered by her "tummy."  She underwent a combonation of Breast Augmentation and Liposuction. She looks great in or out of her bathing suit.

For the woman whose breasts have lost volume or have become saggy, a breast lift can restore a fuller and more youthful appearance to the breasts. Frequently, following pregnancy, women are left with smaller and sagging breasts. For these women breast lift can be combined with breast augmentation by placing breast implants. The result is a fuller, prettier breast shape. Women with heavier, pendulous breasts, which have lost their shape, can benefit from a combination of breast lift and breast reduction.

This 40-year-old mother of four wished to have the breast shape she had prior to her pregnancies. She was also bothered by fat accumulation in her abdomen, flanks and thighs. Since she had adequate breast volume, a breast lift was chosen to reshape her own breast tissue. Liposuction was used to remove stubborn tummy, back and thigh fat. The result is a fuller, prettier breast shape, flatter tummy and narrower waistline and hips.

Women with overly large or sagging breasts are often troubled by back, neck, and shoulder pain. Unfortunately, following breast reduction the tummy can appear even larger than before. For these women, combining breast reduction with tummy tuck and/or liposuction can redefine the contour of the entire torso.
