Great Doctor, Great Results

I had a great experience with Dr. Hoffman/office staff from the moment I first visited for my initial consult, to my surgery, and through all of my follow-up appointments. I was well informed, and was helped through the decision making process. The surgery went well, I recovered quickly, and my results are PERFECT! I would definitely recommend Dr. Hoffman to others, and will go back to him for other procedures if needed! Littlestar19

When a chin augmentation is to be done using implants to make the chin more rounded it is standard to use general anesthesia for our patients in St. Paul, Minneapolis. An incision will be made inside the mouth or outside the chin creating a pocket in front of the bone and underneath the muscle. The implant will be placed inside the pocket and patients have the option to use silicone, their own bone or fat tissue, or other types of implants. The implant will be secured by using sutures or screws into the bone and once the perfect shape and size is achieved, the incision will be closed with sutures.

Patients in St. Paul, Minneapolis who require the alteration of the bone tissue for their chin augmentation will also have the procedure done under general anesthesia. An incision will be made inside the mouth, just along the lower gum to be able to access the chin bone. Using a bone saw or a chisel, a second cut is made through the jaw bone allowing Dr. James Hoffman to move it and make some alterations. Once the perfect shape is achieved, the incision will be closed with sutures.
