How aging affects the appearance of your eyes
Same as the other areas of the body, the structural support in the underlying tissues of the eyelids become weak as a person ages. This results in the loss of skin elasticity and causes the fat and excess skin to accumulate below the eyelids that make it droop. Patients can look tired and old because of this condition even if they are well into their 30’s. Aside from having a huge impact on your appearance, in severe cases, a drooping eyelid can sometimes impair the eyesight. A blepharoplasty can easily address these concerns and can provide our patients with a younger and fresher appearance.
