Reduction mammaplasty, also known as breast reduction, is a procedure where women with overly large breast can reduce their breast size. The procedure can help eliminate discomfort or pain that is caused by large breasts. Each patient has different preferences in breast size, and the procedure can be tailored to meet those preferences.

Breast reduction is designed to help achieve a breast size that is more proportionate to the patient’s body. The procedure can help alleviate back, neck and shoulder pain caused by large breasts; breast asymmetry; skin irritation under the breasts; and breast ptosis. During the recovery period, it will be about a week before patients can return to work; this varies from patient to patient.
